Vietnam Quilts was founded in 2001 and is an income generation project that offers income and employment for rural women which enable these women to remain in their communities and care for their children and families.
A non-profit program, Vietnam Quilts is a project within a French – Belgian NGO, Vietnam / Mekong Plus. It employs women in Duc Linh, in the Binh Thuan province and Long My in Hau Giang (the Delta). Following the expansion of the program to Cambodia, the name of the organisation is changing to Mekong-Quilts. As we are part of the Mekong Plus program, which conducts community development programs in Bình Thuân, Hậu Giang (Vietnam) and in Svay Riêng (Cambodia).
Please take a couple of minutes to view the video, by Antoine Delaplace, former volunteer, to learn and see more about the project. A second video tells about Madame Ca's quilters group. |
