On the 25th June 2007, 19 women participated in a day field trip to experience first hand how Vietnam Plus, a French- Belgian NGO operates in a rural area. The women departed at 6.30am from HCMC and traveled three hours to Duc Linh.

 Very early on Wednesday morning, 8 October, a group of enthusiastic women met at the Vietnam Quilts shop in HCMC. The object of the day - visit the quilters and some other cottage industries supported through micro loans and the local NGO, Vietnam Plus. After sorting ourselves into two vans, we were off like a herd of turtles. We rode for almost two hours and stopped for a much needed break.
